heh
For some reason it just popped in my head i wanna do something on what i cant describe other than "formulaic storage" - is it the EU directive on plastic thats finally at the babystep 50 years too late or otherwise. I dont know
Data is stored in squares no matter what or how its organized but "life" itself to get the biggest example i can think of doesn't. DNA doesn't "store" data as such, it holds the algorithm that builds. Im so much of a heretic that i firmly believe that if it were possible to go beyond point omega and see all information from the very start, pre-destination might actually be real.
If you take the big bang for real as starting point (of time among others) then basically all present information was already there at the very "moment of creation", it just "un-packed" over time, meaning if you could have all starting positions you could literally predict the future according to the laws of physics
IF you KNEW the laws of physics , which, up until today seem to leave much guessing (about 95% of reality hasnt really been proven to exist so its called dark matter and energy to fill the gaps) <br< It would make excell obsolete and it would need re-producing, say you store something in organic molecules, the very molecules themselves will decay over time. If you store a whole spreadsheet in a set of atoms, you have no direction stored in it, the information by itself is stale and wont act without external force or catalyzation of some kind.
For instance what would be the smallest possible amount to store " a house " in ? Do you count all particles and put them in a grid ? an array in computing terms ? Thats a lot of cells, but if you could have the formula to store it in it might be very little - those little 256-byte demos always made me think there, fractals always made me think there.
but at my current levels i dont think im capable of writing essays on that ...
and also, higher thoughts are best suited once living on the upper step of Maslow, having to take care of the foundations tends to get in the way of that
where did that come from ? no idea ... i think it must have been there, hope it stays in the back of my head somewhere and grows some new lights
