Weekly Digest: Why pay with crypto when there is cash and cards?
Hi there!
This week has been a rollercoaster: we shared some good news during our livestream with Crypterium’s co-founder Austin Kimm (this is a must watch for our supporters), found out why you so eagerly await the full-fledged version of the Crypterium App, and bored our CTO to death with our questions on why CRPT token is safer than at least a dozen of other ERC-20 tokens suspended from major exchanges.
So here are some great things that we’ve learned.
“I want to pay with crypto for everything”, or why is Crypterium app so anticipated
Since the beginning of 2017, Crypterium has been working on a digital solution to let people pay with cryptocurrencies with the same convenience as with cash or credit cards. The app’s idea has been excitedly received by 400 000 people, including co-founder of TechCrunch Keith Teare and legendary venture capitalist Tim Draper.
We decided to ask our supporters about the reasons for their eagerness to pay with cryptocurrencies. The answers we got were too valuable to keep for ourselves, so we made a list of the top reasons.
Austin Kimm on Crypterium’s Latest News
We held a live stream with Austin last Wednesday, and if you missed it, make sure to watch the footage.
Austin went through your questions and revealed some information on the new exchanges where CRPT will be listed, regions where Crypterium is going to appear in the nearest future, our current goals and other plans.
Three reasons why CRPT is safer than at least a dozen ERC-20 tokens
The past couple of days has been stressful for the owners of some of the Ethereum-based ERC-20 tokens. Their smart contracts turned out to have a bug that allowed attackers to create an unlimited amount of tokens.
Having learned about this vulnerability, OKEx, Poloniex, Changelly, Quoine, HitBTC and other exchanges have suspended ERC-20 token deposits and withdrawals while reviewing all smart contracts for exposure to the reported batchOverflow bug.
The good news is that CRPT tokens are devoid of such problems. Let’s see why.
Crypterium CCO on product updates and marketing activities
Cryptocurrencies and cash, advertising campaigns, technical and geographic limitations (or lack thereof) — this week, Crypterium’s co-founder Vladimir Gorbunov had all sorts of inquiries to respond to in the second part of our “Ask Me Anything” article series.
Your questions are a great inspiration for us as they show the high social demand for our services. In this installment of the AMA, we’re going to talk about Crypterium’s product and the planned marketing activities. Read more here.
Crypterium App Update: One Step Closer to Cryptobank’s Launch
The first release version of the Crypterium cryptobank is coming out in the nearest future. Right now, our team is busy testing and perfecting the app, which you can already download from Google Store and AppStore. With Crypterium, spending crypto in regular stores will be a breeze! Here are the changes coming with this update.
CRPT is trading on HitBTC
Crypterium token is trading on HitBTC, one of the Top-10 cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume.
All the Crypterium solutions will only be accessible for use if you have CRTP that will be used as ‘gas’ for the transactions. Every time someone makes a payment, a fee equal to 0.5% of the value of the transaction in CRPT is taken from the CRPT token holder’s account and burnt as fuel. This means the number of CRPT tokens will be reducing over time.
