Let's accelerate Steem's development: Developer Delegation Day - DDD#4
December 5th is, once again, Developer Delegation Day. This is meant to be a way that we can provide #crowd-support to Steem's developers; and to say thank you for the websites, interfaces, and other tools that developers work hard to bring to life in the Steem ecosystem.

Here's the basic idea, as introduced in August.
On the 5th of each month, community members will delegate 5 STEEM Power (SP) to a Steem developer of their choice. This regular support helps sustain and incentivize the developers who will become the backbone of the Steem ecosystem.
So, after stumbling on the idea in August, I made delegations to some of my favorite developers on the 5th of each of the following months. Also, starting in October, others have joined in, too!
But, we need much more participation if we're really going to support our developers and spur additional development! So I invite everyone to join in for the December delegation. A modest 5 Steem per month delegation is affordable and refundable!
Plus: Who doesn't need an easy topic to write a blog post about once a month?🤣
I have a full calendar tomorrow, so I decided to make my delegation for December after midnight GMT on the 5th (which is still December 4th in my time zone).
Here's where things stood last month:
Developer Account | Last Delegation Date | Last Delegation Amount | Current Total |
---|---|---|---|
@awitness | 2024-09-05 | 5 SP | 5.022 SP |
@michelangelo3 | 2024-11-05 | 5 SP | 10.011 SP |
@moecki | 2024-11-05 | 5 SP | 15.034 SP |
@steemchiller | 2024-11-05 | 5 SP | 15.034 SP |
@the-gorilla | 2024-11-05 | 5 SP | 15.034 SP |
And here are the changes that I made for this month:
I withdrew the delegation to @awitness (Like I said: refundable!) since that account went idle. I'll revisit that decision if/when the account owner returns.
I added 5 STEEM to the delegations to @michelangelo3, @moecki, @steemchiller, and @the-gorilla.
(all delegations are through the @remlaps-pb account)
Here's the final summary after all the changes:
Developer Account | Last Delegation Date | Last Delegation Amount | Current Total |
---|---|---|---|
@michelangelo3 | 2024-12-05 | 5 SP | 15.033 SP |
@moecki | 2024-12-05 | 5 SP | 20.067 SP |
@steemchiller | 2024-12-05 | 5 SP | 20.067 SP |
@the-gorilla | 2024-12-05 | 5 SP | 20.067 SP |
On web sites like X (Twitter), Patreon, Substack, and Medium, people pay a monthly subscription price to support their favorite creators. How unique and valuable is it that we have this delegation tool that we can use to support Steem's developers in a way that's fully refundable?
Who's going to join me in December and future months to say "Thank You" to the developers who are working hard to improve our experience during the time we spend in the Steem ecosystem?
Thank you for your time and attention.
As a general rule, I up-vote comments that demonstrate "proof of reading".

This is a very cool idea. I like it!🚀🚀🚀
I read it only today, so I'll join today, and next month I think I'll manage to do everything in time. As soon as the battery recovers.
I only made one small change today and took a newcomer into account:
@danmaruschak as a little motivation for future development work :-)
Thanks for letting us know the developers names. I would need to be able to make scheduled posts on STEEMIT. I like blogging, but I can only dedicate a lot of time to it on Saturdays and Sundays and if I could have time to make my posts come out on a scheduled basis that would be great
