Loose ends update
So i frogged the mess:
I’m being lazy about learning to dcrease knit and wasn’t working in the round anyway, so I frogged it and crocheted an easy hat. This chenille yarn is super tight so it’s warm like the knit. Then I made it super cute with pompoms.
Then added a pom pom to the hat I made at the beginning of winter. Win win! Yay
🧶🧶
Any suggestions on adding a border or edge to the brown hat so maybe it defines the fold on the front?
They look great, @oceanmoon... I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but how about sewing a button to fix how much fold you want ? You could then wear the hat with the fold slightly to the side.
Thanks for asking @cryptocariad i’m thinking about an edging. Here’s pics
Pointing at the edge there. You might be able to see the difference in the colors.
This is why i think it might need an edge to make that fold stand out. 🧶🌸
Oh, yes... though I would call that a 'design feature', @oceanmoon :D
Do you know how to make that crochet crab stitch to finish off edges ?
Here is a video I found with a clear tutorial.
I really like this stitch as it's fairly simple and effective (with a bit of practice) and you can add a nice edge to garments with it.
Excellent tutorial! I’m going to try that, thanks @cryptocariad 🧶😊
