LOL, just kidding. Pretty cool stuff. The conspiracy loving part of my brain says the development of this tech has a lot to do with the social dynamics surrounding law enforcement.
You constantly remind the population of how out of control many police officers are, and they'll eventually beg for robot officers.
As for biases, racism being less of an issue because of robots, I doubt that. If 7 billion people can be easily programmed, I don't see why the same wouldn't be done with robots.
It's about the intent of the people controlling the robots, and that has never been morally righteous at any point in recent history.
Ha! Thank you for the compliment. I get that a lot! And, yes, agree that it is all about the intent. If we could somehow have an Asimov-like robot which would be physically unable to harm another human being, unless in the defense of another, that would be a step in the right direction. But again, comes down to who is in control!
