For those of you who are well versed in regards to the West Memphis Three case you will be very familiar with Terry Hobbs. The step-parent of one of the (three) murdered children Steven Branch.

Terry Hobbs recently re-emerged and appeared on Ed Opperman's online radio show (who was his first guest ever on his show 5 years ago) alongside Vicky Edwards, Hobbs' first cousin who apparently co-authored Terry's new book "Box Full of Nightmares".

I'm not authoring this post to promote Terry's book. Far from it.
Here's the show, in full - Skip to around the 53min mark to hear the interview with Vicky & Terry:

Personally speaking I've never agreed with Ed's opinion on this case, but I have to hand it to him he did a pretty good job with this interview (given that getting any sort of flowing conversation going with Terry seems largely impossible), addressing a lot of questions that people who have suspected Terry's involvement in the case would ask. Although, given the point of the interview (one would assume) was to discuss his upcoming book, there was very little information about what the book itself entailed, however it sounds as though it's made up of notes taken from Terry's journal that he briefly stated he had been keeping.

At one point, there was an uncomfortable moment as Opperman brings up an incident which resulted in Hobb's shooting a family member in the gut, Hobbs sidestepped the topic by encouraging people to read his book. I suspect Opperman knew the full details of the incident but perhaps played dumb to encourage Hobb's to speak about the topic. As we've seen from Terry before, he does have a tendency to laugh when confronted with stories involving his somewhat violent history (Dixie Chicks deposition springs to mind). Here's the incident they are referring to [taken from jivepuppi.com]:

"From the beginning, Pamela's family accused him of the murders. According to Terry Hobbs, his brother-in-law, Jackie Hicks, Jr. had regularly threatened him for having killed Stevie. Their dispute came to a boil in November 1994 when Terry struck Pamela and Pamela called her family for help. Terry loaded his 357 Magnum with hollow point bullets. When Jackie Hicks, Jr. began fighting with Terry, Terry shot him in the gut. He survived for ten more years until he died from a clot released during a follow-up surgery. The Hicks blamed Hobbs for his death"

Astonishingly Ed also brought up the topic of the bite mark which independent dental professional Mark Cowart, who runs the "WM3 Friends" group on Facebook, discovered and has since continued to provide evidence that a partial denture owning to Terry Hobbs matches an imprint appearing on his step-sons face. When faced with this line of questioning Terry simply pondered over who was currently in possession of the denture (he mused that it was currently held by Misskelley's defendant Dan Stidham).

Terry also confirmed in this show that his daughter Amanda is currently living with him.
