RE: Humanitarian Peter Dalglish Found Guilty of Child Sexual Assault in Nepal
Rough.
And this news coincides with a youth coach at a football club here in the UK being charged with sexual assault dating back 20/30 years ago.
Teen guys with a bright future ahead of them, bribed into doing god knows what for the chance of a game at the weekend. Sad stuff.
Unfortunately, sometimes justice takes 20 years especially in sexual abuse cases where victims often try to block out / forget what happened to them. To bring charges against your abuser must be immensely difficult, and as a young person must be even harder. People who come forward often speak of being victimized twice especially when people don't believe it. The humiliation and self hate drives a lot of victims to drown the memories in drugs and alcohol. It's rough, no matter what victims choose to do.
Nothing more to add to that.
