Cricket team bowled out for 2
A South Australian cricket team has been bowled out for two, that's right two, in their one-day match on the weekend.
The South Road IV team, who play in Section (division) 9 in the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association, only lasted 11 overs in their match against Sheidow Park IV, losing by 302 runs.
Sheidow Park were sent in to bat despite losing the toss, making a great score of 6/304 in their allocated 40 overs, with South Road using 10 bowlers during the innings.
After previous low scores of 15, 30, and 26, it was always going to be a challenging run chase for South Road and their task was made harder by the fact they only had three experienced players in the side. But no one expected it to be over so quickly.
Their batting innings started with a wide on the first ball, meaning only one South Road player scored, number 9 Chris Boyd. After 11 overs South Road has lost 9 wickets and with Andrew Thompson choosing not to bat, their innings was completed.
It is thought to be the lowest total by a team in 119 years of the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association.
Is this the worst team performance you have seen from a batting side?
