Bangladesh start by winning the series against Zimbabwe in the home series. The Tigers won 28 runs in the first of three one-day series. Mashrafe forces went on to win 1-0 in the series by winning this series. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday. In reply, Zimbabwe stalled 243 runs for 9 wickets at the end of the scheduled over.
Bangladesh bowlers put pressure on Zimbabwe to chase down the target. Seven Williams, who scored 48 runs, fought alone. None of the others could score big scores. Nazmul Islam opted to change the opening pair of JP Duminy to 48 runs. Then the wickets fell in regular intervals. Among the other batsmen, Kyle Jarvis 37, Keappus Juan 35, Peter Moore 26, Craig Ervine 24 and Hamilton Masakadza scored 21 runs..
