TransUnion agrees to buy CallCredit and Noddle

I use Noddle, which is a UK credit report site, and is part of the CallCredit group of companies. I have just received an email notifying me of their possible takeover, and this is the blog entry discussing it.

On the face of it, I think it could be a good thing, but I have some reservations. Brexit is going to happen, and it's looking as if it may be a true break from the mis-named European Union. This will give London the chance to build on it's position as the world's foremost financial centre, but if services such as credit ratings are moved away, then this could slow its progress. The alternative is that TransUnion recognises the possibilities, and seeks to build on the future success of London and the UK.
