BAG RELATED; MAKING A NEW BAG DESIGN

Good evening steemits, I just made a bag belonging to the bucket bag series. This is the easiest bag I've been making. The steps are simple and straightforward. And I carefully highlights the process through which I made it in this post.

MATERIALS USED

• Leather of choice (preferably nude)
• Eyelets (8 pieces)
• Magnet

PROCESS

• The measurement I used for the main bag is 13.5 by 16 inches while for the handle I used 56 by 1 inches and I cut 3 by 0.5 inches to tag the handle down and a pair of love shaped leather as seen below.

• First thing I did was to make 4 markings on the main bag. The first side is 2 inches from side and 2 inches from top. The next to it is 3 inches from the first markings and 2 inches from the top. This is also done to the other side.

• Then I made a circular opening using blade.

• Then I fixed the eyelets using a hammer.

• After fixing the eyelets, I located the middle and fix the magnet. I fixed the magnet opening facing the inside of the bag.

Due to the fact that the other side of the magnets are showing outside I had to cover it. That is the usefulness of the heart shaped leather I cut. So I applied gum and gum it together.

• Then I stitch it so it will hold firm.

• Then I put the outside of the bag facing each other and stitch the inside of the bag as seen below.

• Then I stitch the bottom side of the bag and cut the excess out as shown below.

• Next thing I did was to turn the inside out.

• Then I stitch the handle and leave a little at each end for attachments later on.

• After stitch the handles, I fixed them inside the eyelet holes as seen below.

• Then I stitch the ends of the handle together as seen below.

• I repeat the process above for the second handle.

• To tag the hands together, I used the 3 by 0.5 inches leather to hold them together and I stitch it as seen below.

• I cut the excess out with a design scissors.

• The final thing to do is to adjust the leather I used to tag it down.

This bag is very easy to make and it took me like 1 hour to complete it.
