Way to Boost Your Creativity

We all want to do well on the Steemit platform. We strive each and every day (hopefully) to create quality content that will peak the interest of the reader enough so that they will leave comments and upvotes. But being creative all the time can, at times, become very difficult. Some days we just can't seem find that creative spark.

I have put together a list of things which may help to re-light that spark and get those fingers flying over those keys again.

Listen to music

Whether good or bad, happy or sad, music usually elicits an emotional response. Emotion is the foundation of creativity. Most songwriters are very creative people and they tend to put elements into their music that gets the listener thinking. So whenever your feeling less inspired, try listening to your favorite music to get those creative juices flowing.

Watch tv or take in a movie

Movies and television are a gold mind for creativity. Watch the news, the arts, drama shows or public broadcasting for ideas about ideas to get you started on a topic.

Read a book

Another outlet for creativity can come from the minds of other creative peopl. Book authors come up with some of the most imaginative plots imaginable. They are doing the exact same thing that you are doing and in the same format. A well written book can contain plots and subplots, notions and ideas which can serve as a creative inlet for your blog or vlog.

Take a walk

Sometimes when I get writers block I stop everything and just go out and take a walk or a drive. Sometimes I just walk around my neighborhood and sometimes I get into the old automobile and take a longer drive. Just taking in the sites in the neighborhood or in the city and observing what goes on can give you a wealth of creative ideas about lots of different things.

People watch

Take a trip to your local mall or other public gathering and just sit and watch other people. You are bound to see some characters that are either wearing or doing something unusual or has some characteristic about then that peaks your interest and inspires you to write.

In conclusion, creative writers block is something that we all experience from time to time. You can easily overcome this situation, however, by just taking a minute to get out of your writing routine and going out and experiencing the world.
