The 6 Forgotten Giants - an open air sculpture treasure hunt!

in #creativity8 years ago (edited)

Hello people, and how are you guys?

Today is about sculptures, wood sculptures, and hidden near Copenhagen.

Is an interesting project made by Thomas Dambo from scrap wood and recycled materials. He tried to move art from the museum to nature. And he did it. Last week I went hunting these hidden sculptures and let's see what I found!

SLEEPING LOUIS

I found him on a small hill with his mouth opened taking a nap or maybe waiting "to eat children" :)) haha. Yes, you can actually enter in his tummy.

HILL TOP TRINE

She's named after one of the voluunteers who worked on other giant. If at Louis you can go in the stomach, here at Trine you can crawl into the palms of her hands and watch the view.

OSCAR UNDER THE BRIDGE

I think he was trying to avoid the sun because was too hot :D.

LITTLE TILDE

In a small forest near a lake, is resting Tilde after a long trip I guess. Inside the sculpture are 28 birdhouses. Wow, sounds like a party!

THOMAS ON THE MOUNTAINS

It's a very good place to sit with your friends on...Thomas legs. Not the architect, the sculpture obvious. :))

TEDDY FRIENDLY

He is standing at a water stream, at a lake and he's giving a helping hand.Literally!

The whole journey took like 6h and was fun!

Here you can find out how was made and where exactly you can find them. thomasdambo.com

I've never seen anything like this before. Incredible!

Followed :)

Me neither, was the first time. But this architect has all over the world giant sculpures. Who knows? Maybe one is close to you! followed back :)

Very nice tour. I like how they interact with surroundings and even more how you can interact with them.

Yes indeed. This is the difference. In the museum you cannot touch them. Here you can climb on them!

wow great sculptures and the whole idea is pretty unique and amazing i think!
