How I Spent My Day | 23/02/2025

A new day filled with opportunity as usual. It was a Sunday morning and the usual routine was to go through my studies and then do other things before going ahead to the church. Since I came here I have made going to the church a priority because to me spending an hour with God every week is very important.

Unlike in Nigeria where the church is always open for people to worship and have their personal prayers, the case here is very different. Here there are days where the church is locked because of security and many other policies within the country. So any opportunity given to me as a person to worship God I don't hesitate to use it to the last.

On this day I went to the church to attend the Mass and the message or homly talks about forgiveness. A case of David and Saul was presented as the first reading which was taken from the old testament of the Bible. It was indeed a very interesting readings and a well presented sermon by the priest. I was so delighted to listen to those messages.

When I came back home after dismissal from the Mass I hurridly went to the kitchen and then made a little indomie because I was so fermished. I ate and then went ahead to do my assignment. Immediately I was able to reach a certain level I decided to go to the common room and meet others and also have a fun time with them as we watched the match between Liverpool and Chelsea or so.

It was an interesting game and I'm delighted that I watched till the end and then I also joined others who are lovers of snooker to play the game. I played for about an hour and then came back to my flat and went straight to the kitchen because I needed to cook something for myself and eat something good.

As I was cooking, my other colleagues came to the kitchen and we started gisting and have fun as we discussed about how one can get a job and what one needs to do well to be successful here in the UK. It was indeed a very interactive discussion because I was able to ask and listen to some tips and secret on job interview and how one can effectively secure a job here in the UK.

So the entire thing was very interesting and I must say it was also fun. I cooked and then finished eating then I went to my room to have some chat with my assessment and also push it a little because today is the deadline for its submission. So that was how I spent my day with lots of busy schedule all through the day.
