How I Spent My Day | 20-02-2025

It was the 20th Day of the month a day I consider very special to me because of the many activities available for me to take part in as a student of one of the best Universities in the world. It was a day slated for the induction ceremony of new students from all over the world to this great center of learning and also a day set aside for the induction of Ebonyi State Scholars.

As usual, I woke up a bit late because I have been feeling weak and lazy for the past few days which is not really a good sign because I need to work on myself so much to reduce the amount of time I spend sleeping to enable me to make better research and become a better person in the future as I try to think critically and solve real-world problem.

Since I had it in mind already that I had these activities lined up, I decided to hurridly write my post for the day and then prepare for the activities. Before that, a friend of mine called me and said I should come with her so we went and registered at the hospital we there first and while coming back we branched to the market where i bought rice and other foodstuffs.

Though it was a rainy day we were able to go through the entire day without any issues at all. When we arrived home and kept what we bought from the market we left immediately back to the school for the Vice Chancellor Talk which was the first Induction for the day.

The program took about an hour and we were so entertained and fortunate to see the Vice Chancellor for the very first time. Questions and lots of discussion were made during that section. Immediately after that, we assembled at the venue where the school bus came and picked us up at the venue of the Ebonyi State Scholars induction.

We arrived there and then and also met a lot of dignitaries. We were shown around the entire college with the modern medicine facilities which are state-of-the-art facilities. Indeed for the first time, I wanted to go back to the field of medicine because of the available equipment I saw in that very building. It was a wonderful experience.

We also had some talks from the Ebonyi State Scholarship board through Zoom and they encouraged us to remember where we are coming from and also do our best to make the state proud. We closed after about 2 hours and I came back home exhausted so I hurriedly microwaved the little food I had and then ate freshened up and went to bed.
