Painting Love and Hope, at Molave Youth Home
It is true that Art is one of the greatest way to express yourself.
In our previous workshop at Molave Youth Home, we have witnessed the unsaid thoughts and ideas of the children. Each colors, lines and shapes tell us different stories.
We can say that they enjoyed their painting session. The laughter and smiles gave us a different kind of hope.

Painting Workshop at Molave Youth Home
Creative Street is up again for another painting workshop at Molave Youth Homes, Angelo St, Barangay NS Amorato, Quezon City on July 20, 2019.
This activity is in partnership with Alternative Learning System of Molave Youth Homes. Aiming to provide a venue for recreational activity and art theraphy, we would like the workshop to be colorful and stress-relieving activity, thus we want to pursue a painting workshop whereas they can express anything they wanted and imagine.

Alternative Learning System is also our partner. They provided Painting Boards and Brushes and also assisted us during our workshop. ALS also volunteer in Molave Youth Home as their academic teachers.
Before the day start, ALS teachers and 2 of Creative Street Volunteers divided the youth into two groups. First group are the ones who are into arts and the second group are the ones who wants to know the basics. They are the ones who will paint for the first time.
WORKSHOP PROPER
The workshop lasted for more than 2 hours. In the first 30 minutes, We taught about the basics of painting, from color combination and theory to painting techniques : blending, gradient, detailing, using silhoustte, painting realistic leaves and clouds, etc.

Overall, there were 100 students who attended the painting workshop.
PAINTINGS
These are some of the paintings accomplished by both groups. Some of them expressed what they wanted to be, what they wished for and what they are thinking.It's fascinating that you see the reality of the society through their paintings. It would be great if there would be an interpreter for their artworks. However, just by seeing their artworks in a normal human eye, the message is already clear.

NOTE: The face of the students were purposedly covered because for their protection and as compliance for Child Protection Act.
