'Tattoo' - a popular trend, some thoughts!
Tattoo is one of the popular culture. Is not it? One on ten people have at least one tattoo in there body. It's a cool trend. Young generation specially want's to express their thought, emotion and believe though their tattoo. It also looks cool. But I am talking about something different.
All over the world, you will find a handful of regulated tattoo shop. That means, if you get any infection or anything like this, you have nothing to do in reality. They take the customers agreement before doing a tattoo. The high professional costs much to do a single tattoo. So people who does not want to throw a handful of money on doing tattoo actually goes to those unregulated shop at their own risks.
There are actually a heath risk all over the world because of this Tattoo trend. I am explaining-
A research said that, "Since HIV can be transmitted through blood and a person bleeds when they get a tattoo, it is possible to transmit HIV through a shared tattooing needle or shared ink." This is surely a great concern. There are some 'ink party' trend also going on where people get tattoo from an amateur. So 'safe ink' is a thing now.
Ohter reason of my concern is, tattooed people can't donate blood if the ink is one year old. So most of them can't. If most of the young generation get tattoo, what would be the scenario in next decade we all can guess. We have to take this issue seriously. I am not saying anyone can not get a tattoo, it's actually a freedom of choice. But we should be heath concern. And blood donation a a great virtue to save this humanity. If we think that way.
It's actually a growing concern all over the world. I am just writing about it to get your notice, it's up to you what you are gonna do with your body and how you gonna save other's life.

As a inked girl I think safety is one of the most important matters when getting a tattoed. And I encourage everyone to look for the healthiest place to get inked or pierced. Even tho I think donating is not atually an issue (at least) if you have a pretty good control over the last time you got an ink. And why am I telling you this? Because ink goes away within 8 month or so. So after that time you can safely donate.
But can we talk about the Elefant in the Room? the importance of donating have more to do about culture and education than the fact that people is or not tattoed.
I mean maybe in other countries get more importance but here in Venezuela, not everyone can donate blood. Not even think about getting tattoed. But maybe in, I dont know, Netherlands, people is more interested in donating and have that kind of things in consideration :p
Well in our country(Bangladesh) we don't tatto usually , though we prefer to donate bloods .
That's really good dutty but getting inked won't prevent for donating, at least not forever
I have 14 tats, and have been a tat artist myself - we here in the US do have to sterilize our equipment and only use single use needles and ink cups - i never heard the urban legend that you can't give blood if you are tatt'ed - in fact, I just read that you can give it after 6 months - so - getting tatt'ed is safe - the ink I use(d) is vegan - no heavy metals.
