🎃Fun DIY for Halloween this year!🎃
Don't waste money this Halloween! Try this instead!
Last Halloween I was invited to a masquerade party. Instead of buying expensive masks that I will only use once, I found a unique and creative way to sport a mask. Here's what I used:
- Face Paint
- Eye shadow/ powder
- Waterproof Eyeliner
- Spirit Gum (Face glue)
- Jewels with flat face on one side
- (optional) Feather or jeweled hair fastener
Start by using the eyeliner to draw the outline of your mask. Then fill in the mask with black grease paint/ face paint. Use a desired shade of eyeshadow to set the paint. I used a shiny gray eyeshadow for the base coat and a lighter shade silver to highlight the cheeks and forehead.
Next use loose face powder to set everything in place. Place a dab of spirit gum on the flat side of the jewel(s). Place jewels in desired pattern around your mask. Lastly, use spirit gum to fasten your feather/ jeweled piece anywhere on your forehead. Et Voila! You have a unique and cost effective mask that no one else will have at your next Halloween party!
The left is a picture I found on the internet that I used as inspiration. I recreated it on my husband on the right.
