Modeling my new Wild Rose crochet dress design in the morning mountains! :)
I am a huge fan of textured fashion and have been incorporating it more and more into my designs. Sometimes I stray away from texture to avoid complicating the mathematics in my patterns. Math has never been a strong subject for me... so becoming a crochet designer has been a challenging, humbling, frustrating, but incredibly rewarding experience. :)
I loved creating my upcoming Wild Rose dress pattern because it has tons of texture, but was not too challenging to write. After making the first couple roses, I could slip into my crochet meditation and not worry about the math. Bliss! There's a vintage romantic vibe that I love about this design. It's a little unusual but lots of fun to wear.
The dress took about a week to create and was inspired by all the flowers in summer bloom.
We went back to Craggy Gardens to get these shots. This time we took the trail from the picnic area. It was completely deserted at sunrise and felt like a dream. I wish a photo could fully capture how epic it was!

I am not a fan of math, but I'm pretty good at crochet calculations. I love vintage patterns and many of them have weird sizing and I end up having to determine all the mulitples and increases/decreases on my own. This pattern is gorgeous. I love the low back and the lace trim. It gives it a classic vibe while the roses make it stand out and give that gorgeous texture. I have some beautiful white and pink yarn (not variegated, color changes about every inch or so) that would be so amazing for this dress! I cannot wait for the pattern release (because how many times have I already said that I have around half of your patterns, at least, and yet somehow feel the need for more? hahahaha)!

Pink is the best... no wait, crochet is the best.... or no, you are the best!!! Beautiful dress! And you made it i none week? This is fast. I sadly have to make many pauses, because if I knit or crochet to long my fingers start to hurt.

Oh no! I am sorry to hear, I always thought I am the only one who gets problems with fingers or the wrist. I currently also started to knit and this is even more strenuous for my hands.
