Ode to the Spanner
A Sonnet
by a-better-steemit
My old spanner, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you snort, swim and run,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the favorite son.
Let me compare you to a mad cherry?
You are more handsome, funny and special.
Ice bites the debris of February,
And wintertime has the darling meshell.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your glad ankle, thumb and toenails.
Thinking of your sunny thumb fills my days.
My hate for you is the potable flails.
Now I must away with an aecial heart,
Remember my sad words whilst we're apart.
