This photo was taken late in the day at the Bunya Mountains National Park on the walk to Tim Shea Falls. It's a gorgeous walk with lots of wildlife see along the way. I loved the twisty vine trunk of this tree, it reminds me of a serpent snake.
That's wild! Ok. Obviously wild. How about crazy!? Is it really a type of tree or a vine that's taking over the trees?
Sure is!! : ) They can often wind themselves around other trees and can kill other trees and take over them. This one was quite unique as it was hanging out there all on it's own and traveling quite a distance! You can usually find smaller trunk/vines coming off the main part but not usually so obvious as this one : )
