Motorcycle Travel Series by @velimir 'Weaver' (Part #480)
'Weaver'
In the old days, an ordinary couldn't just walk in a shop and buy something nice to wear. People were wearing the same clothes for years, as they were expensive to make and there were not many people who made them. The good stuff was reserved for the nobles, while the people made ends meet. The clothes and other fabrics were mostly made at home on looms like this one. This is one of the guys who still know how to use it. It was a pleasure to watch him weave and talk to tourists.

One day, on a trip I made to the south of my country, I saw a person weaving on a loom, he was an Indian. It was an extraordinary experience to see the precision with which he moved his hands and in turn moved the threads and the wood. I remember that I bought him a "hammock" and it was expensive, but I understood that this work was well worth it, because it was unique and in the end I was an artist. We must promote this kind of work that has been lost! I loved your before, during and after photos of this artisan's work. Thank you for sharing!
Hi, @velimir, it's great to find a weaver on the way, I liked your photos. In my country, there are many who do wonders with their hands. I like to knit and I practice it from time to time, I do not use looms, I use crochet hooks, I love to see the result that comes from interlacing the threads. Thank you for sharing your experiences. A hug
