Making Custom Orders: So Fun!

I love getting custom orders, because it's so interesting to see what other people's ideas are. They see something that shows them what my style is, and then they take it from there to decide what it is they REALLY want.

For example, the photo below is of a Herkimer Diamond and Sterling Silver Tree Pendant. A customer saw it at a craft show and liked it, but didn't buy it. A couple weeks later, he contacted me on my website and requested that I make the tree without any crystals so that it would be "flatter".

So now I've made something that I wouldn't normally have made (just because I'm so fond of the crystals) and I know that it is exactly what that person really wanted. It's fun and it's satisfying to do this kind of work.

My customer loved it by the way and even ordered another one, but in copper.
