ItThe Killers trap (COVID-19 in Nigeria and some countries in Africa)
The killer trap is just a title describing the case of COVID-19, in most African countries due to lockdown (as a measure to control COVID-19.)
The poor masses suffering the impact of COVID-19 most because, many of them are self-employed, and depend solely on what the can get. The lockdown slowing or totally stopping the economy activities , have also endangered this set of people by putting a stop to their income.
Even the government workers also suffers the lockdown especially those in low level.
The little money you have can't even get you enough food, due high cost of goods and commodities. High of cost of goods and commodities are because of low production of them due to COVID-19 lockdown.
This might be your question.
What is Government doing?
Africa, been rich of resources, can't even help themselves because of population, corruption, underdevelopment and level of civilization.
Using Nigeria as a study case
In Nigeria, the palliative measures carryed out by the Government is just a media story in some areas and extremely less than expected in others.
A certain community of 300,000 individuals (which majority are poor) only shared 40 bags of rice only, and the where forced to stay indoors which hunger won't let them obey.
