Lockdowns save lives?
The most important consideration on Covid... lockdowns cost more lives then they save.
CDC Director: Threat Of Suicide, Drugs, Flu To Youth ‘Far Greater’ Than Covid
Specifically the linked article goes into the impact on "school aged children", citing that the flu is 5-10x more deadly to that cohort. Then also adding that suicides and drug overdoses are more deadly to this same age group.
Why are we pretending that locking down saves lives? As if lockdowns do not also cost lives?
Complicated problems require complicated solutions. Lockdowns can save lives by lowering exposure, but clearly there is a mental health cost, saying nothing of the economic pain that itself can increase suffering through poverty.
