From the earliest days of COVID-19, there were accusations that the disease originated in a lab in Wuhan, China. Such accusations were derided pejoratively as "conspiracy theories". However, the best evidence suggests otherwise.

Don't get me wrong. There are plenty of crazy conspiracy theories out there. This just isn't one of them. It's a fact that COVID-19 originated in or near Wuhan. This is not disputed. It is also a fact that there was a lab in Wuhan that was experimenting with viruses very similar to COVID-19. People like Dr. Fauci were one of the first to jump on the accusations of conspiracy theory. However, how can he be trusted on this when he was, in part, responsible for funding the lab in Wuhan (another fact)?

Is there absolute, indisputable evidence that COVID-19 originated in this lab? I'm not sure but a preponderance of the evidence certainly suggests it. It's also rather suspicious that government seems intent upon covering up the origins. Those involved in research on these viruses (including Dr. Fauci) have publicly stated that COVID-19 emerged naturally, however, it has come to light that they have privately expressed concerns that the virus appears genetically designed. Even the bioweapons specialist responsible for leading the State Department's investigation into the origins of COVID-19 has stated in no uncertain terms that a cover-up is underway.
