Google and Apple join forces to track Corona

Two tech giants Google and Apple are going to work together on contact tracing app. It will notify concerned relatives and friends of infected person.

This app will leverage Bluetooth technology for transmission instead of GPS. It is claimed that no location data will be collected. User can opt option of sharing the usage data with companies.

All of this reminds of Snowden's claim when he said recently that more surveillance systems will be developed to track people and they will not go away even when all of this is gone away.

These two companies were asked by government agencies to work on this and you can expect to exploit user data.
