Cover a Steemian update (02/06/2018) - New entries , song pool update.

Hello Steemit!

Another week and we have a couple new entries ( well , one is a re-entry I must say ). We all know the crypto world is not in it's best and Steem prices are a little low so the activity on the platform seems a little slow , but don't worry for this initiative , I plan to keep it running ! I will do my best to keep supporting authors of original music for as long as I can , being a composer myself I want to support and help others to keep creating , so #coverasteemian will still be there adding a little grain of support :D !

So, first things first:

- The Open Mic Contest needs our help!

As some may know, The Open Mic contest is going through a little bump on the road and is having issues with funding their reward pool for prizes , we all know how much @luzcypher helps the music community on this platform so it is our turn to give back! I have been promoting alongside other steemians ways to help and fund the contest , here is a post explaining this in more detail:

-Join the @openmic curation trail.

As you may know , there is an account used for voting all valid entries to the open mic contest, this is a way to give some rewards to all the participants and help add some incentive to the music community. By joining the trail you will be upvoting all the valid entries in the contest , helping fellow musicians and also earning some curation money while you sleep! good deal huh?

This week we had @juliolunar dropping a full blown audio and video production for #coverasteemian , this is a very cool arrangement of ''You know it's me'' , it starts off with an acoustic rock feel , bull blown with backing vocals to then go into some 3 over 2 folklore rhythm hinting that south-american vibe before taking it back home with the original rock vibe from passion's version. Very cool! Go treat yourself watching this :) !

The #coverasteemian initiative is always open , you can submit a video anytime , just follow these rules:

-Cover a Steemian rules (updated 07/4/2018)

-Choose a song of a particular Steemian you would like to support.
-Contact him/her and ask permission to cover his song unless it is in the ''Song Pool''.
-Please , don't do a ''cover of a cover'' .. meaning copying another #coverasteemian entry or it will not be considered valid.
-No playback! The performance must be live!
