International Court of Appeal against Africa: Rwandan President

In 2002, International Criminal Court (ICC) was formed with 124 member countries. In this court, the trial of charges like genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes were completed. However, the International Criminal Court (ICC) has been accused of having an adverse attitude towards Africa. Besides, the African countries are also complaining about not receiving cooperation from different countries including the United States. In recent years, several African countries have threatened to withdraw from the Hague-based court or declare plans to be withdrawn. Qatar-based news al-Jazeera reported that, except for one of the 10 events that have been investigated by the ICC, all except Africa

Rwandan President Paul Kagmay held a meeting with Mu Ibrahim on Saturday in the capital of Rwandan, Kigali. African country Rwandan President Kagmai said in the meeting, "There are many people around the world who should face trial in court. The ICC has been hearing some leaders of African countries. For that reason (their crime) they are being judged by them, they have joined other countries. But the ICC does not judge the guilty (criminals in other countries). '

Questioning the role of the international court, the paper said, "Since the beginning of the establishment, I would say that it was founded on the basis of fraud and it is being used in the same way. I told the people that this court was established to judge Africans only, not to judge the world at all. And I do not think I will be wrong. '

Rwanda is not a supporter of Rome Statue and President Kagami has been criticizing the ICC for a long time. In 2008, he referred to the ICC as a 'fraudulent organization'.

Al Jazeera said some people believe that the paper has taken such positions to protect the military commanders accused of supporting rebels in the neighboring country, DR Congo. However, Ryan Political analyst Lonjen Rujira does not think so. His claim is that the court has criticized the court because of the "political agenda" of the ICC. He said, "The ICC has become Africa's tool of control. Trust in the paper, the victims should have a method to seek justice. But there is no presence in the ICC. "
