It Takes Courage to Walk Away From Something You Believe in
This is going to be a short post.
A lot of times we tell ourselves, that we can do anything if we put our minds to it. It's a great way to maintain confidence in a cold and unforgiving world. But what we think we can do isn't the same as what we can actually do. There is no limit when comes to our imagination, but there are countless limits in the real world.
We are humans and we have limits. it's important to understand that. There are plenty of things we all wish we could do but can't. What do we do then? Keep banging our head on the brick wall?
No.
Just walk away.
Walking away is very difficult. Especially from things that you passionate about. It could a job, a hobby or a person. But sometimes it just doesn't work out. Why continue harming ourselves? We do not live forever and cannot afford to spend that time inefficiently.
The world has so much more to offer to you, me, and everyone else.
By telling ourselves that we have no limits, we create a paradox where we end up limiting ourselves, chasing dreams that are unattainable.
No one wants to walk away from our dreams, mostly due to personal shame. But there is nothing shameful about failure. We have to move on and learn from our mistakes. But shouldering the burden of failure, takes courage. The courage to face the prospect of fear, pain, and loss. That is what makes us human.
Focus on maximizing your potential; not the potential of the fictional superhero version of yourself that only exists in your head.

Thay's true. We have too limit time on this world to chase our dream. Some succeed, some doesn't. I am the one who've failed with my dream and so much hurt from it but at least i've tried and learned a lot. i believe i still survive and time have limit ,so just go on with new hope and dream.
I have failed too so you are not alone. It's really hard to move on, but we will become better people in the future
It is good to fail and make mistakes, it is indispensable in fact, I don't think we can call a person "successful" to whom everything has gone well, and has done everything correctly all the time. That is in fact the trick, to face the difficulties. I have realized that just at the moment when everything seems to go wrong and everything loses reason or meaning, it is precisely the moment in which it is closest to achieve it.
Of course, the things I have accomplished are small things, nothing important, but significant for me. And I think that is precisely the goal of believing that you have no limits. It is not believing that you are going to change the world, it is believing that if you are perseverant, suffer a lot, and get tired, it is only possible, that you change a part of it. That most of the time is not enough motivation, but if you really want to achieve that, then it's good to know that you have no limits.
Good points. I agree that we have to face the difficulties that life presents, but we also have to face the realities that come with it. There will be moments where reality casts a bigger shadow than the difficulties. In such a case, my post suggests that we set aside our egos to focus on the reality first.
This is a very important but if wisdom that helped me lead a better life. Just because you can, or they asked, or it looks fun, or you really wanted it before, doesn’t mean you have to.
Thank you for the generous reminder.
