A Little More About Counting

It might be in ignorance that we think that numbers are discovered by counting objects. But it is actually the other way around.

Objects are discovered by counting them. That is to say, the idea of an object comes first, and only then can it be counted.

For example: what is a ball? A round object, that's for sure. But how can anyone know it's round before he has counted it?
