Cougars packing up...?

I have been noticing cougars in Washington State are starting to take a rare form and are starting to pack up. I have witnessed a group of cougars of 5-6 cats packed up for several years now in a row. If these cougars were all a family the younger cats would have been kicked out by now. This rare pack formation may be due to the increased hunting competition from the re-entered wolves that are spreading onto their turf and increased population from coyotes.
