COSS Weekly Volume Report: Week 1 (June 4 to June 11)
COSS Weekly Volume Report: Week 1 (June 4 to June 11)
Hi all,
Since a while I have been tracking the volume of the COSS exchange, by scraping the volume of all the pairs directly of the COSS website itself. I've been playing with an idea to write a summary report of the trading volumes on the exchange. This is my first try, let's see how it is received ;)
Overview of Volume
Average Total 24h volume ($) for this week was 2.880 M, with a maximum of 4.672 M and a minumum of 1.196 M. Total trading volume over this week was 19.876 M.
Average 24h volume ($) for the ETH-BTC pair was 20,954 $.
Average 24h volume ($) for the FIAT pairs was 10,655 $.
24h Volume ($) | Avg | Max | Min |
---|---|---|---|
All Pairs | 2,880,428 | 4,672,892 | 1,196,288 |
ETH-BTC | 20,954 | 65,623 | 2,878 |
FIAT | 10,655 | 20,682 | 1,562 |
Fee Split Allocation
This week's snapshot for the Token-Based Fee Split Allocation was taken at Ethereum block 5769166. The FSA USD value per COSS was 0.000096634311 $.
The total fee split allocated is then 0.000096634311 $ times 98,283,923 (the amount of COSS eligble for FSA), which amounts to 9,497 $. This is also the revenue made by the exchange for this week. Based on these values, we can also estimate the average trading fees for this week: total fees collected/total weekly volume = 18,995 $/ 19,876,052 $ = 0.096 %.
Promos
This week, three promo's ended (CRED, LAN & FXT), resulting in the peak volumes in the first few days of the week. At the moment, there are 4 active promo's (PGT, BWT, XNK & UFR). In the future, I will probably also give an overview of the contribution of promo volume to total volume, and analyze the performance of said promo's. However, not much time today ;)
Trading Promo | Status | Start | End | Prize Pool |
---|---|---|---|---|
UFR-UPFIRING | Active | May 30 | June 29 | 280000 UFR |
XNK-INK PROTOCOL | Active | May 30 | June 29 | 1000000 XNK |
BWT-BITTWATT | Active | May 28 | June 27 | 500000 BWT |
PGT-PUREGOLD | Active | May 13 | June 12 | 250000 PGT |
FXT-FUZEX | Ended | May 10 | June 8 | 560000 FXT |

Community Initiatives
Finally, I want to take the chance to point out another community initiative.
CELT Bot: Spielley's bot that reduces the spread of all the pairs on the exchange. You can buy CELT tokens to provide liquidity to the bot. Value of CELT increases week per week, so if you want to support the COSS exchange, go for it.

Just a tip for using Steemit, choosing the right tags is quite important for you to get seen especially when you're new! Check out the most popular tags and choose the ones that apply to this post. I sold all my COSS a long time ago but nice seeing more user development!
Thx for the advice, first time I use Steemit ;)
