Day 2 | The Booth | No Face

_{Yes that is No Face Drinking beer. 😂}

Hey guys! So last weekend we had an event here in Davao City, Philippines called Nippon Industrial and Cultural Exchange:

Our local cosplay/anime/hobby group Ani-Ma Kyoukai was there too and we had a booth set up with a Kingyo Sukui or goldfish scooping game but we used plastic eggs instead of fish:

They wouldn't let me play because I was minding the booth and raking in customers 😭:

We also set up a Shateki or shooting game where we used rubber band guns made with rubber bands and chopsticks and origami animals as the targets:

Our booth was also made to resemble a temple so we had a torii at the front of our booth:

a mini shrine at the side:

and a cherry tree by the mini shrine:

I went as No Face, a spirit from the animated film Spirited Away and minding the booth with me was a Miko or shrine maiden:

Pardon the lack of proper pictures during the event. We were all so busy that we did not even have time to do that. Originally I was going to wait until other people uploaded their pictures of our booth but until now they still haven't done so. I might make another post though with more shots of the event. :3

Making props for the booth and setting it up at the event area was really tiring. Most of the stuff was too big to carry while riding a public transport vehicle so me and the rest of our team had to carry them from my friend's house to the event area which was around 2km away. Setting up the booth was easier although we had to work under the sun on a really hot day. 😂

Good thing though that there were also food stalls around so we had refreshments whenever we needed them. Food was great too. Too bad I had no time and energy to take pictures of the food since it was a really hectic day and I was already running on my reserve energy an hour into the event. 😂
