Vegetable Manchurian
Here is the recipe of vegetable manchurian that you can enjoy as a side dish for anything that you like! Be it noodles, fried rice or even just eating it the way it is!
Ingredients needed-
Finely chopped cabbage 1 cup
Finely chopped spring onion 1 cup + 1/2 cup
Grated carrot 1/2 cup
Finely chopped onions 1 cup
Diced onions 1 cup
Diced capsicum 1 cup
Salt to taste
Corn flour 2+1 tbsp
All purpose flour 1 tbsp
Soya sauce 1 tbsp
Red chilli sauce 1 tbsp
Finely chopped Coriander for garnish(optional)
Ginger garlic paste
Chopped garlic ( 2)
1 tspn chilly powder
1 tspn coriander powder
Method-
In a bowl, add chopped cabbage, spring onions, grated carrot, finely chopped onions. Add ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp, red chilly powder, coriander powder and 1 tbsp salt and mix well. Add 2 tbsp of corn flour and 1 tbs of all purpose flour and mix it well. Add a little water as per need so that they batter can be made into small manchurian balls.
Once you have made the balls, heat a deep pan and add about 1 cup of oil for deep frying. Once the oil heats up, add the manchurian balls and fry them until they are golden brown.
Once done, remove them in a plate.
In the same pan, drain out the excess oil into a vessel so that only one tbsp of oil is there in the pan. Add finely chopped garlic and onions and toss well.
Add ginger ralic paste 1 tbsp, salt as per taste, soya sauce, chilli sauce and saute them well.
Once the veggies are cooked partially, mix one tbsp of corn flour in about a cup of water and add to the veggies and mix them well.
Add the manchurian balls to it and cook on medium flame for aboout 2-3 mins.
You will see that the gravy will begin to thicken and this is when you know that your manchurian is ready to be served.
Remove the ready manchurian on a plate and garnish with spring onions and finely chopped coriander.
