Winner and Next Round Announcement - Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest Episode Two
Welcome to the Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest!
This post will be both a Winner Announcement post and an invitation to participate in the next round of the Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest which starts NOW.
WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
Episode two of Survivor: David Vs. Goliath didn't disappoint, giving us the first blindside of the season! The David Tribe again lost the Immunity/Reward Challenge and was the first tribe to go to tribal council.
In a vote no one saw coming, Jessica Peet was totally blindsided, making her the second to leave the game and the first to be voted off. Lyrsa Torres, who was the guess of many contest participants, dodged a huge bullet, receiving four votes.
So long Jessica!
Since no one guessed Jessica would leave this week, there's no SBD winner for the Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest and no one won the SBI share courtesy of contest sponsor @freedomshift.

Also, I'm continually looking for ways to increase the prize pool for this contest and this week had a bit of success. I made this comment on @whatageek's page and he kindly upvoted it, which should give about .70 SBD additional upon payout for next week's prize pool! If anyone has any ideas as the week goes on, please let me know, I would love to give more to the winners!
@steven-patrick, who correctly guessed that Pat Cusack would be the first to go, was unable to repeat victory! In the words of the current American President: "sad"!
Who will guess correctly next week? Will @steven-patrick reclaim his crown or will someone dethrone him? Stay tuned to find out!

This post also announces the next round for next week's Survivor episode. If you're new, the object of the weekly contest is very simple: you win if you guess who will be voted off the island next!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Guess who will be voted out next on the coming episode of Survivor: David vs. Goliath from the list of the 18 remaining contestants and leave your guess in the comments section of this post below by 8am EST on Wednesday October 10th.
- There is no #2, that's it! If you guess correctly, you win!
- Trash talking other Steemian's choices highly encouraged!
PRIZES
The winner will receive (in order of importance):
- Bragging rights immortalized forever on the blockchains
- PLUS - the total amount of Steem (or SBD) generated from this post
- AND - one Steem Basic Income (SBI) share provided by contest sponsor @freedomshift through his #ccc initiative (see below for more info on #ccc).
- Additional prizes may be added if we pick up sponsorships along the way.
DEADLINE
Set in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji, the next episode of Survivor David vs. Goliath will air 8pm on Wednesday, October 10th. The deadline for this week's contest is:
8am EST on Wednesday October 10th.
At that point I will lock your choices. A winner announcement post will follow.

WHAT IFs
- If more than one Survivor contestant is voted off on this episode, that means you have more than one chance to win!
- If it's a medical evacuation like we saw in the first episode, I will treat it as if the person has been voted off.
- If more than one Steemian guesses correctly, the Steem Prize will be evenly split, but the @freedomshift #ccc SBI share will go to the first one to correctly guess which contestant is voted off in the coming episode.
- In the case NO ONE correctly guesses this week, the Steem earned in this post will be saved up and added to the pool for the next Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest.

Natalie, got it! She was my pick for this week's episode, but the Davids blew it. I was chatting with @suitcasemama - she's just got zero self awareness. I know there's probably those who will want to keep her around, but she seems so hard to live with that I'd boot her just to get some peace and better vibes around camp.

I'm thinking she's got too many allies to be voted out soon. I was thinking that she'd go off the handle when she found out her name was being brought up, but she kept it cool. If she remains cool-headed, I'm thinking she'll stay until the merge. Who knows.

I don't think the Davids are going to win immunity so I'm picking from that tribe.
I'm going to throw out a wild guess and say that the tribe will catch wind of Davie's idol and blindside him. My vote is for Davie Rickenbacker.
Davie, noted. Solid guess. He, Carl, and Bi are on the outs now on Team David. Assuming the other three girls will want to keep Bi around, it's down to Carl and Davie, which is a shame, he seems to be a decent dude and is playing a relatively smart game...
I'm going for Carl this week. I think the Davids will lose, and because he was the one who floated Lyrsa's name this week, I think the majority will see him as a threat and vote him out.
I am going to go ahead and pick the same person as I did last week.
