Season 1, Episode 1 Time Extension and Roundup

Time is running out!

Dan and I understand that a few of the contestants have had limited time to get their entries in. We will allow one additional 24 hour window for posts to come in before final scoring is done and the story progresses.

The Scoring system

Building a good scoring system for you all has been very challenging. Of course I cannot deduct as many points from a non-english speaker for the same mistake as an english speaker.

So a cursory explanation of the scoring system is as follows:

• The Objectives gave a solid 10 points each.
• There were positive writing points I would award 10/5/2 points depending on merit.
• There were negative writing points. These were adjusted for the non-english speakers if they were grammar and spelling orientated.
• Each contestant's involvement in upvotes, comments and resteems to each other's posts were noted. So there is merit in reaching out to each other and getting involved. Just like Steemit itself, you get something for giving!
• The popularity of each post is also taken into account. Upvotes, comments and payout. This shows a combination of promotion and popularity.

Overall the main points still lie with those top three sections. The other two might distinguish between two contestants that are really close to each other.

I may have to score a winner of a previous Episode more harshly for follow ups in a season so they do not hug the spotlight!
