RE: Game Canceled Until Further Notice

in #contest3 years ago

I can't believe this! I loved this game. It was the first contest I have ever won on here. I was excited to take part in it. @steemcleaners and @spaminator please remove your down votes. There is no reason at all for that. I honestly was about to stop even coming on steemit and posting content because no one would even interact with me, until I found this contest.

<3 @queen.steem

Can someone explain to me what happens if you get down votes and why that would affect the contest? Sorry if it's a dumb question I'm new here.

Yeah it's pretty screwed up to say the least.

So this group is known to pick on successful people here, and in a communist mentality, knock them down to be like most accounts here, unsuccessful.

They are very wealthy investors and think people should only be here "for the community" not to make money. (easy for them to say with deep deep pockets.) If you make too much then you are called a "milker" and are attacked. Even though 99% of everyone here is here to "milk". make friends, post, and make money (milk) they actually use this term.

It's like being punished for playing the (steemit) game well.

Sucks.

However if Steemit can be a great place until this shit happens. I've enjoyed making many friends here and earning decently for five years. But now it's all up in the air with this shit. They attacked my blog again just a few days ago. Just nasty. Don't know any other way to put it.

The downvotes knock the earnings down. So basically assuming they keep downvoting the game which is highly likely. I would be doing the game for free, just my time and effort spent and paying out. This after just doing two weeks for free of winner takes all. Just totally nasty what they are doing.

Sorry this is an early experience for you here. These social media platforms are really a reflection of society...the good, bad, and ugly. Just is what it is.

That sucks and is definitely discouraging. I really enjoyed playing and reading your other content. So can we all just down vote all of their posts or does influence have an effect on that? Because I have no influence on here so if that's the case then it wouldn't make a difference if I did it. People suck man. I was excited about this platform and was hoping to keep posting and hopefully start "milking" lol I am a single mom of two girls and every dollar counts, trust me. So you travel all over the world? That's freaking awesome. Maybe one day when my kids are grown I can do something like that. I love new experiences and new places and different cultures. I seen that some people on here connect and talk through discord, which I've never used. How do you go about doing that? I'll follow you on there if you want. I always like new friends. So are you still in Thailand?

They don't even post. They just are "funded" and do what they do. So there is no downvoting their content even if you had a bunch of steem power.

Yes, I've been traveling the world my entire adult life, so naturally this platform worked out for me. Thank you so much for you kind words. I hope someday you can travel too. I never got into discord. My biggest concern here is getting sucked into too much screen time, when I could be traveling and do fun things. So I just didn't have time for that.

Yes I'm still in Thailand. I plan to stay here for the year and see how the pandemic stuff works its way out. I'm from Albany NY originally. Where are you from?

I am from Massachusetts. I lived in FL through my teen and early adult years. I moved back to New England when I was about 25. I now live in Rhode Island. I checked out discord yesterday and it does seem like I would not be into that. Too many people in the rooms and no one even said hi to me except a bot lmao. You are the first person on here I am actually communicating back and forth with. I have been trying to figure out what type of stuff to post on here. I like photography. I am not into modeling or anything but I joined this modeling community to post selfies on... a girl thing I guess lol. Other than that I try to post jokes or funny content and I just joined skill share to promote my business I'm trying to start up. I do IT support for my profession but I am trying to do graphic design and social media management on the side as a freelancer. That is what I enjoy doing. I like creating things. How old were you when you started traveling? It really intrigues me to hear about that type of stuff. I really enjoy learning about places I have never been. Do you actually earn income on here steadily? I sometimes feel like I'm wasting my time on here.

Wow. Always good to chat with a fellow American. I left America when I was 20, built a business in Korea and 5 years later retired to investor/ semi retired life. Dropped out of college after two years and avoided student loans all together. It's given me the freedom to travel the world for most of the past 19 years. Even when I was working in Korea I skipped out all over Asia during those years. I have favorite spots, favorite countries and so on.

My first three months on steem were horrific, I almost quit like a dozen times, but I'm stubborn as hell and was determined to figure out how to make money here. After I cracked the code I made more money than I could have imagine especially during the 2017/18 run up. My best month was almost 20k! Here is the secret recipe that you're not suppose to know.....post once a day, consistently, something of decent content, but definitely don't spend all day making an amazing post cause that will most likely not make you any more money and just leave your frustrated (waste of time). Then network, network, network. Get into conversations with people that have Steem power. Make connections with people, like you've done with me ;) Comment on others blog, if they don't start up-voting you after a while go and ask for support to your blog in the most chill way you can thing, nothing to lose at that point. To make things simple, 80% of your time should go to networking 20% creating blog posts. Having good SP this is also a huge ingredient to baking the cake. Then you can up-vote others with similar SP, and they will like that a lot, and often return the favor. So with 10k SP or more you have a huge advantage, but you can still build it with zero SP but it will be much more difficult. That is what I did, so it is possible. Also look into HIVE. That place should be easier to apply this to, steem has too much Korean and Chinese money that will never up-vote us. The downvoters would hate to see me explain this too you, it reveals too much truth. But I'm an honest guy and at this point I've got enough fuck you money where they can go fuck themselves and I could give too shits. pardon my English. But if they read this they will not like it at all, cause you're suppose to be here for your health and nothing more. Stupid.....ughhhh You seem like a good girl with a lot on her shoulders, so I hope this helps. I would just add this, it is true that you can make good life long friends here and I have, people I've met in person traveling and so on. So that certainly has value, but people need to eat.

Enough from me ;) Have a great day!

That's an awesome life story so far! How old were you when you started your business? your thumbnail you look young lol Thanks for talking to me. I did spend a lot of time on a couple posts and it did seem like a complete waste of time so I appreciate the advice definitely. I hope we stay friends on here you seem like a really cool person. So HIVE is the same type of platform? I am going to check it out. Thanks again! KIT

Hive is the origial steemit. All the main witnesses got kicked off steem when Justin Sun took it over (buying out everyone). So they copied the block chain and renamed it HIVE. They even copied the accounts and all the wallets and basically created like 200 million dollars out of thin air. Don't ask me how that magic trick works, but it did. It was a nice payday for everyone. Even those who actually lost their steemit accounts. So hive is far easier to network and make friends. It's US and Europe dominant (English Based) same exact thing as steemit.

I was 20 when I left the US, now I'm 39. Time flies. I've always had a youthful look. Even the other day someone guessed I was 28, and couldn't believe it when I told them I'm 39. Maybe it's the traveling that has kept me young and healthy. Beats me. But thanks for the compliment. You look like you're 20! maybe younger. Anyway, So glad I've been able to help you. Feel free to message me anytime, I'm always happy to help :)

So you are on Hive then? I'm going to sign up. I have a lot of things I need to get to today in the "real world" so I will probably sign up tomorrow. If you are on there how can I connect with you? Same name? Also I am 33 but thanks so much for the compliment lol I have a 14 year old daughter. :) Have an amazing day!
