Attention all poets and creative writers! It's time to write to win!
It's time to join in and write a little poem for your chance to win some STEEM or SBD! Round 4 of Season 16 of my WILD & STRANGE Contest has officially started! It’s time to put your pens to page and print your prose! The GRAND PRIZE for this round will be the liquid STEEM & SBD payout from this post. Are you ready?
Here is the progression that this contest follows.
ROUND 1 = PHOTO – Take a photo to enter – COMPLETED
ROUND 2 = ART – Use winning photo from Round 1 to make a piece of art – COMPLETED
ROUND 3 = MEME – Use winning art from Round 2 to make a meme – COMPLETED
ROUND 4 = POETRY – Use winning meme from Round 3 to make a poem - STARTING NOW
ROUND 5 = SONG – Use winning poem from Round 4 to make an original song.

In Round 1 @coinsandchains was the big winner! It was his winning photo that provided the inspiration for the artwork in Round 2.

In Round 2 @ecoinstant was the big winner and his artwork provided the inspiration for the memes in Round 3.

This was a tough one with a lot of excellent entries, and @ecoinstant almost had back to back wins... but in the end @dwells took it!

Now, it is your chance to write a poem based off of the winning meme from @dwells. Use that amazing meme for inspiration and write your poem! There is no need to have participated in any of the previous rounds. Steemians can jump in on this one any time that they want! The "Official Rules" are below.

A man and his tiger sit under a tree.
Dreaming big dreams, of life that's set free.
Best friends forever, like Calvin and Hobbs,
Creating create content and working Steem "jobs".

I pretend to be a grownup you see
It is really not so hard to do that
I just give them a small piece of me
And allow them to follow my cat
But this is no ordinary cat, you know
So handsome, a picture will do
As I found a way to make dough
Watch him sleep, I'm not kidding you
As I know where all this takes place
A vote and a follow is the key
And as sure as a tiger has grace
Give steemit a chance, you will see
So the next time a tiger is there
In your feed, you know what to do

I know of a place that's both wild and strange,
Where all is welcome, and there's no color or race.
There humans tell stories, and dolphins listen,
And whales don't eat up unsuspecting planktons...
Oh I know of a place, that's both wild and strange,
Where there are no limits, of size or of age.
There you'll find a fish, with the strangest moniker,
There a whale could be a farmer, and pepper does have a papa...

But you couldn't do any worse, for it is more than just a stage.
It's the perfect of waters, where even land animals can feed,
It's the best place to be followed by a tiger, believe me, for these are the words of a sage...
