RE: Put on Your Thinking Cap - Win 3 SBD
- I would pick it up.
- First of all this might be very valuable because seeing it is a kitchen tool it is probably resistant to corrosion. I might actually would consider using it for cooking. I can also taper the back end to a nail form, which would be a great weapon. Being corrosion resistant, I can also heat it and use it to sterilise my wounds if I ever would have to.
- One of the biggest differences between living in primitive and modern conditions is that in nature it is very difficult to find and shape hard materials to make strong equipment like metal tools. That is why it takes significantly longer to succeed even simple tasks like digging or sawing or building etc. Which means if you ever find yourself under primitive conditions you would want to pick up every piece of metal that you can; it might come in handy somehow. That being said, the most important benefit of a metal tool in general would be shaping wood. Under primitive conditions I would be relaying on wooden tools but wood is difficult to handle using only pieces of stone.
Very good ideas! You are obviously wearing your thinking cap today!
