Steemit, Together Against Injustice Contest #1: 50 words, 3 Winners, 6SBD Prize Pool or more.
Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor, it must be demanded by the oppressed.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Today, our world is endangered because of the grave injustice unleashed upon it by fellow human beings who find themselves in the position of power.
Unlawful detention, extra judicial killings, human trafficking, organ trafficking, child labour, slavery, gender discrimination, gender violence, police brutality, social media clampdown, press victimization, racism, etc are some of the injustices confronting our world today. Do we fold our hands and do nothing about it? Absolutely no!
We believe that Steemit is not an ordinary social network, it can be used as a tool of social change; to speak against injustice, to create awareness about injustice and to give relief to the oppressed in the society.
In this maiden edition of the TOGETHER AGAINST INJUSTICE CONTEST, tell us in not more than 50 words what you think is the greatest injustice confronting the world today and why you think so.

.......together against injustice......conquering injustice through Steem power.
Proudly supported by Amnesty International
What a great initiative.
Certainly got me thinking.
And so here is my entry:
Proliferation of the myth that we are separate is the greatest injustice perpetrated by man on fellow man.
For we are all spirit, in temporary physical form, and our collective soul energies are inextricably woven into the whole.
What I do unto you I surely do unto myself.
With Love.

Love this, I fully agree! It's so nice to see others understand this deep truth
Good one! I wrote my post before going through the comments and now see we have the same train of thought... I guess birds of a feather, flock together, will be following your account!
:)
Yours was more accessible to most folks!
Mine a tad too esoteric for many I feel.
Haha.
I have visited yours and feel that we have much in common ~ I too am an artist but, due to temporary living arrangements, am only posting digital illustrations at the mo.
Great to have stumbled upon one another here.
I followed you too and look forward to virtually getting to know you over the coming weeks.
I wish you well and invite a reciprocal arrangement of support to spread the light.

"I think the greatest injustice is that the majority of us, even though against wrong doing, stand by idly when it happens. We seem to feel seperated rather than united, therefor we brush off the injustices instead of help to change them. The injustice is not taking our own responsibilities"
This is an artwork I made called "Help Your-Self" It's a commentary on how people often say the "less fortunate" should help themselves. On a higher level, it means that helping another is helping yourself...
If we start seeing others as ourself, I think we will start living with much more happiness and peace.

First of all, i would like to thanks @gandhibaba for this contest. Through this, people can share their opinions about injustice. My topic is at Racism.
People in world have different perspective and they judge others according to their way. I don’t know why people misbehaved, pass arguments on the black people. Why people judge according to the color. No religion allowed this type of act. There is only religion and that religion is “HUMANITY”. I am against injustice.

thanks bro :)
I am in :) nice topic and people need this type of post. Thanks .
For me the greatest injustice in the world is child labour it almost all other injustice spring up from this. A forsaken or deprived child would mostly end up in crime, prostitution and other violent activities.

Ok
Good post, I am a photographer, it passes for my blog and sees my content, I hope that it should be of your taste :D greetings
Child labour
Children are meant to have the freedom to grow, explore the world, play, receive a good education and feel safe. Their childhood should be a time free from abuse and exploitation. According to statistics there are 152 million in child labour. 73 million work in hazardous child labour! source. These numbers are shocking. I believe we should do more to fight against this injustice.
