RE: INTERACTIVE BATTLE TOURNAMENT#3 - STAGE TWO FIGHT

in #contest7 years ago

Setzer is stumbling around drunk, fixed dice in one hand, a large bottle of some alcoholic drink in the other. He shouts "COME AT ME, BRO!" repeatedly in different directions. It's pretty clear that his words are not directed at the politician. While it looks like he's shouting off to the middle of nowhere, Setzer's repeated use of the phrase looks like he's itching for a fight with another wanna-be hero...

Are you a bad enough dude (or dudette) to kick Setzer's ass in one-on-one combat? @doughtaker will pay 1 SBD to the first player willing to attack Setzer in PvP, win or lose. Make sure to check the rules post first so that you declare your attack properly.

Sort:

medieval warrior attacks Setzer @rollthedice

Waiting for @lordnigel to adjudicate as to whether or not this is a valid challenge (was incomplete but there are no other choices to be made), and if so, to confirm the value of your roll.

The attack is valid..the value of the roll is a 2 (No special effects on this Stage). Careful.. dice rolls to beat must be equal to the first dice displayed(logical as way the Stage fights work and defender needs advantage). In this case its a 2. So you only need a 2 or more to win if you accepted this battle (taking into account any passive item effects).

While medieval warrior should have declared which item he wanted, I think it's reasonable he will have to take what ever item you have if he wins.
(player vs player is a part of this game - I have added a warning to the detailed instructions to make this more clear).

The game is meant to be self played, and you should declare the item you want medieval warrior...if you attack someone and win, but did not declare the item - you get what ever item they have (you must choose an item if they have one, this is the point of player vs player or everyone would just be attacking each other all day).i.e.

In this scenario if the attack is accepted and If medieval warrior loses then he loses a life and loses one item (he has none - but if he did he would lose it..there is a key difference here though, as a losing attacker the defender does not have to take any item at all - I think this is reasonable and will stop attack spams...i will update instructions on this as well).

I think medieval warrior is incredibly brave here (I also think the rules weren't clear enough, but now they are). As the rules weren't clear If medieval warrior wins this, I will destroy the negative item - but only because the rules weren't clear...I don't think someone will fall for this a second time doughtaker.. The SBD part was a nice trick/touch! so I'm gotta let it play out (pending significant disagreement from multiple players - then i will go with majority)..hehe this will be funny regardless (I want to see if you roll a 6?) lol!

There actually is a scenario in which I think it would make sense for someone to take a payoff and attack for a negative item. If the attacker is down to their last life at an early stage and has no trophy tokens to get back in the tournament, then rather than try to run the gauntlet to get to the finals, it might be better for them to take a guaranteed consolation prize (or buyout) and then bow out of the competition (either the attacker wins and is effectively crippled to guarantee a future loss, or they lose on the spot and the defender is still stuck with the negative item as well as a lighter wallet). Obviously if this was stage 6, that's so close to the finals that no one would take the offer unless they knew they were guaranteed to lose against the stage 6 NPC no matter what.

So the 1 SBD offer was intentionally generous as a first-time play, and since medieval warrior is at 2 lives, if Setzer "wins", that means the exact scenario I just described above comes to fruition, and I could make another offer to @yura81 (for a smaller amount the 2nd time around) to have medieval warrior attack again. Evilly ingenious... ?

But like you said, this will be funny no matter how it plays out. A roll of 5 or 6 results in my ploy backfiring, while anything else is a success. @yura81 has already been paid, so here we go...

Drunk Setzer:
🎵 Rooooolll the lice.... it's paralyyyyze... 🎵
🎵 but iiif yoooouu wail... you goose uurr wiiiife... 🎵

@rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

Congrats! you have won a trophy token, for making me spit my coffee on the screen after reading your great plan..that didn't work (gosh! and it was a good plan). man your luck stinks at moment :) please reply within 7 days to receive your trophy token.

Psst... @yura81's medieval warrior still has 2 hearts showing when there should only be 1.

You are killing meeee

Ouch, this game sure is starting to get brutal.

Check my newest comment on the stage 2 post -- another 0.5 SBD is on offer for whoever is willing to attack Setzer next. There are multiple players down to their final life, so act quickly if you want another guaranteed bonus.

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 2.

Unfortunately your player attack was defeated..
You have only 1 life point remaining:
