Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.
The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 20 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 200 SBD in total.
Please see the winners of the previous daily contests and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for your favorites by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #16 – winner announcement!
@narchuk Asian Sunday entry:
It happened in Thailand, in the Andaman Sea. At the very end of the dive I saw a sea turtle. She swam from coral to coral and did not notice my presence. Turtles are very calm, if you do not touch them. I swam next to her doing a frame-by-frame. At some point a flock of small fish swept past us. It lasted just a couple of seconds. I managed to make only one photo.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #16 – winner announcement!
@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:
Stormy night over Darwin, this is a view from Nightcliff rocky beach if a thunder storm striking Darwin in the Northern territory of Australia. There nothing quite like it, I found it amazing to watch a bit like a firework.
@dmytrokorol Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:
When I first met the Ocean
We had been driving out of Lisbon to the south when the road led us to the coast. And I saw the ocean. And the setting sun. The colors were so beautiful! We stopped at the first place we had found I grabbed my gear and ran to the beach. Lucky me! It was Praia da Sines with these beautiful wooden stairs and the stones on the sandy beach. The first meeting was gorgeous. I knew there is more to come.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #16 – winner announcement!
@eaglest African Wednesday entry:
I took this image on the Island "El Hierro" which is located about 500km west of Africa. In the ancient world "El Hierro" was considered as western end of the world. On his second voyage Christoph Columbus started from here into the new world.

One of the reasons I love traveling to Europe is seeing historic landmarks that blend in seamlessly with the city's newer buildings. The Cathedral of Our Lady was built in the 16th Century in Antwerp, Belgium and survived wars and revolutions before a major 19th Century restoration. It really is a wonderful piece of architecture in a beautiful city.
Thank you so much for your entry. However, due to a large number of submissions other images were picked to go further at this time. Have a great day and keep on steeming. Tomas
The view of the Trotternish Ridge from the Quiraing on the Isle of Skye is a classic. I was there back in 2011 and had to wait one week to finally get some good light during sunrise. The other days it was mostly rain, quite typical weather for Scotland ;-)
This tree on the edge is the icing on the cake of breathtaking photo. The week of waiting was worth it!
Nice! Looks very painterly.
Yea the light was really sweet that morning and brought a nice painterly color palette to the landscape
Beatiful shot, breathtaking view!
Such a surreal landscape, beautiful shot @mibreit-photo!
Thank you
I focused on our lovely and peaceful valley of Tamar. This is a smaller valley in Alpine part of Slovenia. Photo is taken from Spring of Nadiža River. Water from this spring is the best I had ever drunk. Come, and taste it!
I want to go here badly!
Welcome anytime :)
Wow! What an amazing shot! Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming in a separate post later on today. Tomas
Fly high over the mountain. I took this photo during my travel to the Salzkammergut Mountains in Austria, in September 2016. On this photo you'll see the paraglider to start to fly over the valley at Lake Wolfgang in Austria. Below you can see the Zwölferhorn Mountain Cable Car from St. Gilgen.

Great shot! Thank you so much for your participation. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas
Thanks Tomas!
Taken at very calm evening at Baltic Sea, nearby Klaipeda, Lithuania. Beautiful large cloud formations colored by sun at dawn.
Super wide angle lens to catch utmost the scenery
Actually, almost in 1 hour came the storm front with lightning and heavy rain, but that's the story for another photo :)
Enjoy the scenery!

Simply stunning! Thank you so much for your submission! Have a great day. Tomas
Bled Slovenia
Walking around this beautiful lake I could see Bled Castle in the background against the snowy topped mountains, I framed the shot between one of the boats that you can take out onto the lake! I loved this shot, it has so many beautiful colours and takes me right back to this amazing country!
Thank you so much for your entry. What a great image. Have a great day and stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon. Tomas
This image has been taken on a visit to the Glyder Fawr in Wales. The Glyder Fawr is a mountain in Snowdonia!
The view down the valley was actually not far from the main road! You can see it goes down in zig zags! The area of Snowdonia has lots of water and is situated near the coast!
I love to come to Snowdonia because of the views like this one, remote location and good food!
Lovely scenery! I like the soft greens in the foreground, transitioning into the blues in the background. For me photography needs to have an emotional component, and this photo caught my eye immediately.
Thank you!
Beautiful image. Thank you so much for your submission. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas
A windmill in the province of Limburg, in the southern part of The Netherlands where I grew up. In many villages you'll find one or two windmills though few are still in use. Luckily some are maintained/restored and open to the public to view.
I just love your image. Thank you for sharing with everyone. Tomas
Thanks!
This beautiful coast is called "Arrecife de las Sirenas" and is located near the city Almeria in the south of Spain at the Mediterranean Sea. Steep vulcanic rocks are leading into the water and create a breathtaking view. You can hike down to the beach and explore the interesting rock formations...

Stunning as always!
Actually it was a rainy day and messy weather in general, but I decided to take my chances and got out to take some pictures of Vilnius city (located near geographical centre of Europe). This is not a part of the Vilnius, that You usually see, it is not a popular tourist location or travel destination (just look at empty streets, and it is only 6pm), but it looks very nice in evening. Please view in full resolution by opening in new window or tab. Enjoy.
Great image and entry. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas
Thank You, Tomas! Sure I will :)
