Steam key Giveaway (Stellaris)
Paradox is a development studio that is renowned for making huge in depth strategy games. So, the games that should appeal to the serious PC strategy gamer! Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis are series staples that have immense depth and huge playing time and replayability. These games are not for the faint of heart, they are like Civilization on steroids!
So it was only a matter of time before they decided to tackle the final frontier. SPACE!!! And this time, it is also a beautiful looking game!

WOW!!! Thank you so much @bengy I almost bought this game when you first made the Thomas is Alone post! I didn't buy it seeing how I entered your contest! I am so happy to have won this game key! I have been wanting to try it out since! I haven't won any contests on steemit until now! Thanks again!!!!
Great, hope it all works out. Let me know if it works!
I will definitely do that! Thanks @bengy you're awesome!
It is pretty tough to find time to play games when you are on Steemit :D With @newbiegames and the IFC I feel like I am playing games all the time on Steemit :p
I wasn't going to enter any more contests but I wanted to read about some of the interesting games that @bengy has played and also chat to other people about their experiences :)
Crusader Kings II is one of my all time favorite games. Not sure how many other Paradox games I've played, but this one looks good.
I'm remodding a Civ 3 mod right now. Ever play Civ 3?
Hey friend @erebus!
I'd have to go back and check which Civs I have played. I really can't remember which number is which now! CK2 looks pretty good, I just haven't had the time to sink into it. Did the tutorials, maybe I should give it a go while I'm travelling!
What are you modding it with?
Just the ingame editor. Trying to give TETurkhan Cities a different feel with stronger Europeans.
I'm not sure if I played 3, it might be one that I skipped. It is hard to remember though, if did come out a long time ago!
Oh yeah, 3 is practically ancient. Still one of the best in a lot of ways.
I'm playing Endless Legend at the moment. Pretty cool twist on the Civ formula!
Not sure if you are using ginabot, but I nominated you for this game if you are interested.

Stellaris? OMFG I love this game!
I have it on my Steemit wishlist! I think you will have this post on my gaming weekly next saturday @bengy ahahah
@charisma777 congratulations! You deserve it! :D
Hi @t-miles,
Yes, this looks like a great game. Like all Paradox games, it needed a bit of time to mature, but I think it is okay now.
I really have to remember to bump my next competition into Thursday or Friday. By the time it makes your Saturday post, it is pretty much over!
This time you made an awesome giveaway! The winner will have a nice game to play! Oh don't worry, I will not post this time on Saturday. I will make a more complete list this time, you will see eheheheh
:)
Intriguing! Can't wait for the edition!
Who was the winner @bengy? :)
Sorry @t-miles, not you this time!
Here is the next one!

No problem man! I'm always into new giveaways :D
New one going up today!
Well thanks @t-miles I hope you get the next key! Good luck!
You're welcome @charisma777! Ohh I wish ahahah
Hey @bengy! I found this contest over in @thesteemengine so I thought I'd come throw in my two cents.
I've had my eye on Stellaris for a long time. It seems like a very interesting game. I enjoy space-themed games, and I've been a long-time fan of the Civilization series, so if your description about it being Civ on steroids is correct, I think I would enjoy it tremendously.
What other sorts of games do you enjoy playing? I regret that I've only now stumbled upon this giveaway series. I've done a few giveaways in the past on my blog, and both times the contests were a lot of fun to host.
I wish you the best with this iteration. Perhaps I'll get to play Stellaris sooner than I thought!
I have picked you for the Stellaris key, details for claiming are here.

Hi @ethandsmith,
These Paradox games are really hard to describe. Have you played any of them before? They are almost trying to be historical recreations with a whole heap of administration and sliders and levers to pull... You are always constrained tough, even if you are incredibly powerful. Of course, Stellaris is not a historical sim, but they have brought the immense detail of the previous games to space.
PC is definitely my favourite platform to play on. Strategy, simulations and RPGs (not action rpgs) are my thing. I prefer things to have an element of complexity or "realism". I am longing for my ideal game, some sort of survival/party based/endless sand box. XCOM comes close... I used to play more FPS, but I started to get old and slow...
Nintendo Switch is my baby though. There are some really great releases on it, and playing really solid games on the go is such a huge appeal!
Game genres are so mixed these days that it is hard to find games that belong purely in just one genre... it also makes it hard to find interesting and unusual games to play (Sexy Brutale was great because of that). Words with Friends is about as far as my co-ordination skills will work on a mobile phone :p
I think Unreal Tournament was the beginning of the end for me when it comes to FPS...
I still managed with counterstrike and team fortress 2 until a few years ago. Finding a nice server with fun players is the key though. But even then, I get sick of doing the same thing over over over again...
Isn't Overwatch the one that all the cool kids are playing these days? Lots of games these days try to combine the action rpg/rts with fps elements. Not sure what is what these days...
Yes, I'm not cool...
I also find the online gaming community a bit toxic. If I only get a short time of quality gaming time. I'd rather not share it with a screaming teenager that is over sure of his gaming skills.
Sorry I never responded to this. I appreciate your comment and I'm glad that I won the key! I'll be looking forward to playing Stellaris. Your description of Paradox games sounds really interesting.
I'm also a PC gamer. I've never been really good at console gaming. I'm not the biggest fan of FPS, but I have had fun with Titanfall lately.
I've heard many great things about the Switch. I don't think I'd have time to play one if I got it, though. What are your favorite games for it?
No problem, it is good to see a new name in the contest.
I am also a PC snob, but it is also because I am terrible with controllers over a mouse and kb. Also, I did pick up the Steam controller, and it might be okay!
At the moment, I am playing Skyrim, Darkest Dungeon, Mario Kart and Bayonetta on the Switch. Skyrim is pretty amazing on a handheld, but I find the combination of a small, not overly bright screen plus using a controller does take away alot for me.
The other three are just unbelievably amazing on Switch! Darkest Dungeon is perfect on a handheld, Mario Kart is amazing to play with a friend on a train and Bayonetta is stunning on a handheld. I also have other games, but I'm just building up a backlog on Switch now...
