Background

Project Affable is an Engagement League to empower 2nd and 3rd layer engagement in Steem Blockchain. It aims to enrich the participants with a dedicated reward pool. It aligns with #1000daysofsteem and encourages the participants to take the engagement deep, to produce quality comments, and ultimately brings value to this chain.

The project "Affable" will aim to reward value engagement in Steem Blockchain. It is about productive engagement, something meaningful for either side in terms of critical information, individual situations, needs, reactions, sharing, etc.

The maiden campaign of Project Affable started on 1st September and on 16th September 2020, it went global. Since then it is an engagement league for one and all in Steem Blockchain.

Project Affable is committed to organizing the Engagement League each month. Herewith we present the details of the Engagement League for the month of October 2020, etc. Please pay attention to the relevant tags of this month to engage with and the rules.

In project Affable, you don't need to do any additional task, you just need to include #affable tag at the bottom of your comment to score Affable Ratio.

Steemcurator01 upvotes your comment with #onepercent #twopercent tag, so generally you use #onepercent #yourcountryname or #twopercent #yourcountryname at the bottom of your comment. Now you need to add #affable alongside #onepercent #yourcountryname or #twopercent #yourcountryname

You are free to use any other tags if you find any other suitable contest which can earn you more rewards.

How to win?

You need to engage as much as you can and try to take the engagement deep so that you will produce more 2nd layer, 3rd layer comments that will help you score higher Affable Ratio.

Just scoring "Affable Ratio" may not win you the contest, as the Affable Ratio will be probed with Active Participant Criteria & No Spam/Plagiarism criteria which are the minimum threshold in project Affable.

Affable Ratio

Affable Ratio will keep calibrating with the changing dynamics of the different parameters that are used, however, the objective will remain the same.

As #twopercent has been introduced by Steemit Team, starting from 1st Oct 2020, we are now replacing the L10 with TP. Project Affable firmly believes that the introduction of #twopercent will bring quality engagement and will strengthen the objective of this league.

Although project Affable empowers 2nd, 3rd layer engagement, the "affable ratio" is not just about 2nd, 3rd layer engagement. The affable ratio is a weighted average ratio of your comprehensive productive engagement and reflections, taking into account primary engagement(1st layer), 2nd layer engagement(3rd layer, or extended layer, if any), nos of one-percent votes & nos of two-percent votes from Steemcurator01.

Example

Suppose from 1st Oct to 31st Oct 2020, @neerajkr03 makes 100 1st layer comments, 60 2nd layer comments, 10 3rd layer comments, 3 4th layer comments. He also receives 20 #onepercent upvotes from @steemcurator01 and 5 #twopercent votes during this period.

1C= 100
2C= 60+10+3= 73
OP=20
TP=5

Affable Ratio= [1C+2(2C)+OP+2(TP)]/6

=> Affable Ratio for @neerajkr03 = [100+(2 * 73)+20+(2 * 5)]/6= 46

Don't try to engage with multiple/alternate accounts. This will be considered as an egregious violation of the Rules and will render you disqualified and/or ban from this contest.

The top 11 winners will share a total pool of 325 STEEM
Project Affable will allocate 50 STEEM for continuous development of #SCM tool to automate & fine-tune the Affable Ratio, update it each month with relevant tags.

Active Participant Criteria

No comment for 4 consecutive days will render the participant as an inactive participant in the project Affable and his/her affable ratio won't be taken into consideration for determining the winner(s) of this contest.

Spam/Plagiarism

Any act of spam/plagiarism will have you disqualified in this contest. However if you have realized what went wrong and trying to be a good actor, trying to restore confidence with genuine engagement and blogging, Project Affable will consider your participation in future contests.

Rules

The Engagement League for October will run from 1st Oct to 31st Oct 2020.
All the comments in #thediarygame #betterlife #steemcryptochallenge will be taken into consideration for calculating the "Affable Ratio" and based on the Affable Ratio, the top 11 ranks at the end of the campaign will be rewarded.
You can also score Affable Ratio if you respond to the replies in your diary post, should you use the #affable tag at the bottom of your comment, however, comments like "Thank you" or "Thank you for stopping by", "nice", "cool", etc will not be taken into consideration. The minimum comment size should be at least 110 characters.
The comments like "thank you", "wow", "nice", "good", "cool", "nice game from your side", etc or similar comments will not be taken into consideration while calculating the "Affable Ratio".
Repetitive comments will be considered as an act of spam.
Use tag #affable in your comment.
If you want to participate in the project "Affable", just comment with "I am affable, your country name". For example, I'm affable, INDIA. (Mandatory)

Active-Participant Criteria and No Spam/Pagiarsim are the minimum thresholds of project Affable.

Note- The project "Affable" reserves the right to amend the rule as & when situations arise to deal with abuse.

Conclusion

Depending on the participation rate, we might consider expanding the winner's list. We might also reward quality comments, thought-provoking comments. However, it is solely at the discretion of the project Affable.

Now a separate account @affable is created; all the official announcements and communication related to project Affable will be made from here. Project Affable will always offer lucrative rewards for the Engagement League and over time it will get better in its scaling capacity.

We will also request @steemcurator01 to continue with #onepercent vote each month as that is an important parameter of Affable Ratio. Now with the introduction of the #twopercent it is going to be more demanding because for the same comment the users can potentially win One percent votes/Two percent votes and Affable reward.
