"Love" is strong feeling towards someone, which can also be defined as "extreme likeness" and "obsession", whereas "like " is to just have an affection toward someone due to some reason which changes feom person to person.
Love is a more intense feeling than like. You can like a person and not love him but you cannot love a person without liking him.

Well, very simply, I'll say the major difference between love and like is in their intensity. Their levels of 'deepness'.
Like is just being fond of. It could be shallow, and without commitments, but love is deep, and must be with commitments
Love is an unconditional emotion, while like is a more of a conditional attachment to someone.
Love involves deeper and stronger emotions, whereas like is more of a tender feeling towards someone.
Love is another person becoming an integral part of your life, while like is being comfortable in the company of a person.
