I think the whole reason they started using it in pets was to get people use to it. There have been quite a few people express their concerns that crypto will play a major part with the implant. There is already a chip that was made by a company called BiChip to store Bitcoin and Ripple. A company called Dangerous Things also has a chip that can store Bitcoin keys along with credit card information...
