YouTube begins regime of enforced 'facts' on videos they don't agree with
Quotes taken from Wikipedia & Encyclopedia Britannica are being added by YouTube to videos in an attempt to brainwash viewers into believing the information is not accurate. Account holders are not being notified that these "fact check" titles have been (or will be) added to their films.
The move was announced in Spring but didn't begin till last month. Only affecting U.S. accounts for now, it will be rolled out slowly around the world, putting an end to the idea of free speech on YouTube. We are told it is in an attempt to stop topics that tend to attract conspiracy theories.
However, YouTube does not list the subjects they believe to be conspiracy theories!
So far we have seen them popping up in films relating to:
- Global warming
- Dulce Base
- Lilla Saltsjöbadsavtalet (Little Saltlake Bath Agreement)
- The 1980 Camarate air crash
- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
- The Kecksburg UFO incident
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine

In videos questioning climate change the text reads as follows:
Multiple lines of scientific evidence shows that the climate system is warming.
They’re also pushing us to question the reliability of sources. Certain climate related videos created by RT news now come with the following words:
RT is funded in whole or in part by the Russian government.
Here is an example relating to the Sandy Hook massacre in which the user is questioning why the police report has still not been released to the public.
Looking at the above example, this kind of added information at the bottom seems relatively harmless, but as the idea continues to expand from here where will it take us?
I cannot find any other examples for now but I am particularly interested to learn which quotes YouTube are posting over films which question the MMR vaccine? If anyone has found one of these I would love to see!
YouTube is already responsible for an ongoing barrage of video deletion and account termination but this latest move must surely seal the deal for truth seekers looking for a platform to host their films.
Could this be time for sites like DTube & DLive to shine as they were intended, unaffected by corporations with ulterior motives?

Yep, thank goodness for Steemit. With Facebook up to the same kind of tricks it can surely only be a question of time before we see a huge migration...
With the amount of things these companies are doing all at once, I'm back beginning to think this is being done so blatantly like this on purpose for a reason that might not be so obvious. It's not surprising to me that the info wars app shot up in popularity after the ban. Do you think the major corporations didn't see that coming?Or are they just that desperate now that they can't do things as subtle any more and they aren't thinking things through? Time will tell, I guess.
Some interesting thoughts there. My feeling is that they are attempting a soft approach with this one and when people get used to seeing the (relatively harmless) titles, then the full propaganda campaign will kick in...

I feel like this sort of thing will force a lot of people away from that platform and as you said, make platforms like dtube and dlive more popular. At least there are other options, these sorts of issues always sprout new growth somewhere else
With Facebook up to the same kind of tricks as YouTube all we need now is an upward trend in the market and people will flood to the decentralised options...

Snopes are idiots who are paid by Soros and the platforms to provide an excuse for the platforms to censor conservatives - all they have to do is say, this is fake news, or these scientific facts do not FEEL right, and the platforms block you.
As for Steemit; the only reason we can remain free to speak our mind without fear of censorship is because of the blockchain. We need to see others follow - such as Gab...they are also now being threatened, Microshit wants to close them down, if they do not censor their members.
btw - you do know that like Chrome, Firefox have announced they will be blocking all content they do not approve of? I would suggest everyone test other browsers, like Brave, PaleMoon etc... or else you might find yourself blocked from doing that also.

Sorry, just had to add, in Sweden they have elections early September. The party in power, who are now the minority, have been given the power to remove/block from FBook all posts by their opposition. Does that provide you with a hint as to what will happen with elections in USA (some Rep candidates already being blocked or shadow-banned) and Brexit in UK?
