Tribute to @surpassinggoogle's Mom
Whilst in time of mourning, we are reminded of how great LOVE is and how fragile LIFE is. No words can ever console a fellow brother who has lost a loved one, but in loving memory of the departed, let us cherish her life and her journey. This is my tribute to your family:-
Life lived memories carved,
Through the depths of the flesh,
The heart that love lived,
The warmth survived transcending death.
It was a flicker too early,
To end a cherished lifetime,
Of an elegant one so lovely,
It is now a song that has lost its rhyme.
In our minds the image she has don,
A loving mother, a gentle soul,
Thru the pain she gallantly soldier on,
Finally in the hands of God she is now whole.
Your sorrow is felt,
Glistened eyes like the reflection in the horizon,
It marks a period of darkness that we often melt,
before dawn reappears its time for the rising.
You must persist,
You must be strong,
You must lift your head,
You must forever be her triumph.
You shall not be saddened,
It was a good life lived,
For much has been ventured,
Much more has been loved.
You are not alone,
We are here in the darkness,
Merely to tell you right to the bone,
The twinkle tonight is her star and nothing less.
May you in the period of darkness find strength like how she has personified it.
:(
I liked the poem very much, every paragraph loaded with a lot of wisdom to alleviate the pain caused by the loss, you write quite well @perennial ;)
Greetings!!
Tq sir...the least i can do when someone is grieving.
Wow. This deep man. Poetry at its finest.
My best line:
I wish healing upon @surpassinggoogle... he must be hurting right now. Its not easy to care for an ill loved one. Its even more painful if he/she eventually passes on. And she's his mum. So sad.
However we must find solace...in the fact that they are gone to a better place...whereever that is.
Cheers man!
#Hug-Challenge!
The healing must take place...to the asians the mom is the greatest virtue. The heavens is under a mom's feet.
So much people dying at the moment.
This sucks.
But death is a natural part of life.
We shall not be stopped. The Stoics said: If you want to grief, then grief for 1 day and not longer.
Do your work, then grief and then back to kicking ass like a motherfucker drunken with ambition.
You are right. There are moments when we must stand back and keep moving. Sad feelings are like a spiral downwards....it can get out of control if not vigilant.
