BLACK BOX ALGORITHMS: MONEY. POWER. RESPECT. YOU'LL SEE THE LIGHT?

Studying computer science is fucking exhausting. I’m not going to sugar coat the fact I liked the six figures, most brag about having once they graduate, but I also love solving problems by applying some of the concepts I’ve learned in my studies of computer science.

Me, I reek at math, but as many mentors always, mention computer science goes beyond crunching numbers and mathematical theorems. There are some talented computer science majors out there. Many of which, who have a great deal to look forward to. Blinded by the imaginary shopping sprees and condos, I overlooked the high rates of suicide, stress and other issues plaguing not only the field itself, but students concentrating in this area of study.

On the surface, it seems like paranoid Paulette, is coming to pay another visit, but as Bell, of the Huffington Post, and I give a shout to in my previous post,“You needn’t be wrong to be called delusional,” rings more truth in the case of the Aaron Scwartz’s story, ‘Internet's Own Boy.’

Society is not exactly like a computer program, but there are some similarities between an individual, the collective psyche of society and computer programs. For example, if you want to condition an individual to having a desired behavior, conditioning is a probable mechanism in doing so. People model behavior either from their family or from society. Modeling is also used in computer science, mainly when constructing software. The purpose is to gain a better understanding of the problem and the solution. In computer science, conditional statements are used to warrant desired information and for instance, if temperature is equal to or greater than blah, blah, return this set of data, or else return nothing. Kind of a fucked-up way to look at it, but that’s just what some crazy fuckers did and I mean, that in a good and bad way and that’s if you know what I mean.

Right before Swartz, killed himself he was painted by law enforcement, as battling with depression and some questionable mental illness issues. After being randomly guided, to another article of high school students in Palo Alto, battling with depression too, suicide attempts, and suicides, I noticed all their stories had a pattern and a big commonality too big not to notice, all had majored or were majoring in computer science or some area of STEM. Now you take look at the book “Black Box Society,” which clearly sheds light on the algorithms, that control money and power in society. Maybe that result you get back in search engines is random?

Then you start to look at all the students flipping out randomly at universities and two of, which were Virginia and Georgia Tech students. Not at all agree with what they did or will do. Computer science is not at all easy. To invest all of that time and just randomly flip out, cause harm to yourself, or others is beyond me.

As Richard Dawkins stated, and Aaron Swartz, paid homage to, "Science it works Bitches!"
